Dr. Scott Taylor

Scott Taylor, MD

Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Board Certified Pain Management

Helping reduce his patients’ often debilitating pain is why Dr. Scott Taylor is practicing medicine.  His  main focus is interventional pain management which provides  his patients less invasive procedures that fill the gap between major traditional  back surgery and conservative care. In practice for 26 years, he finds these procedures offer exciting and new opportunities to help his patients maximize quality of life, maximize function and reduce their pain. Dr. Taylor is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia.

Andrew Davisson, MD

Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Working with each patient to form practical and holistic solutions to reduce their pain and improve their quality of life is why Dr. Andrew Davisson chose to practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is excited about how the field is constantly growing and developing new strategies to help him better care for his patients. His focus is on diagnosing and treating spine, musculoskeletal and sports injuries and using minimally invasive and regenerative therapies. He also provides care for patients with fibromyalgia. Dr. Davisson is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Carolinas Rehabilitation, Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina.

 

Rakesh Patel, MD

Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Dr. Rakesh Patel strives to offer his patients a complete understanding of their chronic pain diagnoses. He works with them to help provide a pathway to manage this pain holistically through an active healthy lifestyle while combining medication, therapy, and injection management options.  He plans to grow his practice to include ultrasound guided injection options when therapeutically appropriate. Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation was at New York Medical College. He received his MD and a Masters in Science from St. George’s University and a BS from St. John’s University.

Karey Davis, PA-C, LAT, ATC

Karey Davis is an experienced Physician Assistant with a background in multiple specialties including spine surgery, orthopedics, emergency medicine, family practice, rheumatology and physiatry. She graduated from Butler University and is in her 17th year in practice. She has worked with Dr. Taylor for almost 4 years and is passionate about helping patients understand their disease process as well as find the best possible treatment for their condition. She enjoys teaching and mentoring students to help them understand the spine as well. She is married with 2 children and 2 step-children and enjoys every activity her children are involved in. She loves to volunteer and speak on spine topics when the opportunity arises.

Kristin Shields

Kristin Shields, PA-C

Kristin Shields has been in practice as a Physician Assistant for 14 years. She graduated from Indiana University with BS in Biology and then went on to Butler University where she did her Physician Assistant studies. She has worked primarily with Henry Community Health for most of her career. She has years of experience in Emergency Medicine and has been with Dr. Taylor for close to seven years. She enjoys the spine specialty and taking time with patients to thoroughly explain their conditions and treatment options. Kristin enjoys time with her family outside of work.

Mandi Willoughby, CMA

Mandi is a medical assistant and has been with Dr. Taylor for 5 years. She works interdependently with the providers and alongside Sherri and Sarah who are other team members in the New Castle office. She also works diligently with the satellite office in Muncie on helping our patients receive the best treatment possible. She goes above and beyond to make sure patients receive the best care and is always willing to help in any way that she can. She just welcomed a new granddaughter to her family and is loving every minute of it!
